A huge Thank You to all those that ran in the 2023 Board of Directors Elections!! 

Thank you also to all the Volunteers and Membership who asked questions about how the Election Cycle is run and what all is involved in being a Board Member.  

During the pandemic years while we all slowed down and took a step back, we were unable to hold these regular elections because events had slowed down entirely within Cleveland ConCoction. This several year gap gave a need for this information to be reviewed and updated to continue to follow good process and procedure.  

We want to also welcome those who were not elected this year, those who may be interested in future, or those who would like to be in the room to attend our future Volunteer and/or Board Meetings. 

Board Meetings are held hybrid (in-person at a local library most often, and online via our Discord or Zoom)  

The 3Q & 4Q Board Meetings will be added to the Cleveland ConCoction Calendar or Events once scheduled, in addition to our montly Volunteer meetings.

 For many years Dan R. Arman has been a presenting Author panelist at Cleveland ConCoction's annual Convention and has been part of the Authors Alley.


On his Facebook on May 20th his wife posted: 
"For those of you who knew Dan, This is his wife, Mary.
Dan passed away May 19th around 2pm from a heart attack.​He went too quickly no one was with him when he passed.
He was survived by his wife Mary and an adopted daughter Mayra. Dan was a beloved teacher and an amazon best selling author. He will be missed."

We are now headed into a new cycle year for Cleveland ConCoction and our meetings are starting to pick back up again now that we are post convention from March. 


Our next meetings are currently scheduled for:

• Sunday, May 21 @ 1:00pm (Hybrid: Library / Zoom)

Now that the Cleveland ConCoction 2023 Convention has ended, we've updated the ConCoction Discord server for future growth and fun! As we are a volunteer-run Community based organization we are going to use this server for continued communication with the Community toward:

• 2023 Summer Picnic
• Future Game Day Events
• Online Events (games, watch parties, etc.)
• Cleveland ConCoction's 2024 Convention
• ConCoction at other Cleveland area events
• ConCoction at other Convention events

...and possibly even more fun in the future!

The Volunteers of Cleveland ConCoction welcome past and current Volunteers, as well as the 2020-2023 Convention members to join us for our organization's annual Picnic.

When: Sunday, August 27th: 11a - 7p

Where: Intergrove Lodge, North Chagrin Reservation, Cleveland Metroparks
(Waze is the best service to use to find this location in the park system, as there is no exact street address.
You can also use GPS coordinates: 41.575183970559436, -81.43310590883497 )


We are bringing back our annual picnic - just a little later in the summer this year than in past years.

Food will be potluck style, and Cleveland ConCoction will be supplying the meats to be grilled onsite.

The site has a fireplace in case of cooler temperatures, restrooms are outside the main building, and both are reasonably accessible.

Outside lawn games and board games have been mainstays, and for those wanting a field trip, Squire's Castle is fairly close to the picnic location in the park.

For 2023’s show, Cleveland ConCoction’s cosplay contest once again had an outstanding showcase of makers and performers! Creators entered in Advanced, Novice, Youth, and Group categories and then were judged on their craftsmanship and creativity.
