1Q Cleveland ConCoction Board Meeting

As of Sunday's (1/28/2024) 1Q 2024 Cleveland ConCoction Board Meeting for the June 2023- May 2024 ConCoction Cycle Year there were additional topics left to review and discuss, and the Cleveland ConCoction Board was not able to complete the agenda in the time alotted.

A second 1Q Board Meeting date is currently being voted on by the Board of Directors to be held in the month of February. The date and time of that meeting will be announced by February 1st, and the update will be posted to the ConCoction Calendar of Events page of the website as well as in the Cleveland ConCoction Discord Events section.

Once the 1Q Board Meetings have been concluded, notes from those meetings can be made available to the Cleveland ConCoction Membership.

These meetings are open to the Membership, ConCom, etc., not just Board Members

Cleveland ConCoction 3Q Board Meeting 

Location:
Cuyahoga County Library - Beachwood, Meeting Room B
25501 Shaker Boulevard, Beachwood, Ohio 44122

When:  
Sunday, August 20, 2023;  2:00pm - 4:30p  ET 

We will have the meeting room starting at 1:15p to allow for A/V setup, as well as socialization prior to the scheduled meet time.

Meeting will start promptly at 2pm.

We will have 15 minutes at the end for A/V cleanup and room cleanup. Library closes at 5pm.

Agenda will be provided prior to the meeting date.

** NOTE: This room is listed for a max of (18) people.
There are 9 Board Members and the Board Secretary.
As these meetings are open to the ConCoction Membership PLEASE RSVP in our Discord or send email to [email protected] if you plan to attend, so we can move to a larger meeting space if needed.

We are now headed into a new cycle year for Cleveland ConCoction and our meetings are starting to pick back up again now that we are post convention from March. 


Our next meetings are currently scheduled for:

• Monday, May 15th @ 7:00pm (Virtual / Zoom) 

Board of Directors 

• Sunday, May 21 @ 1:00pm (Hybrid: Library / Zoom)

Cleveland ConCoction Discord

In an effort to be in better contact with our extended ConCoction community, reach out to new and current volunteers, as well as communicate with other fandom and convention groups, we have created a Cleveland ConCoction Discord server. 

This will be open to all of the membership, and not just during convention hours, but year-round.

MailChimp Email Service

MailChimp has updated their plans and rules of service and has made that a less viable option for our group cost wise. 

We are currently exploring other options, but may have to go back to standard email list mailings or a list serve option.  Once we have more information here, we will inform the Membership.

The ConCoction Calendar of Events has been recently updated with the next two Board of Directors meetings to round out the 2022 calendar year: 

• November 6, 2022 @ 2:30p - Fairview Park Library
• December 11, 2022 @ 2:30p - Beachwood Library

ConCom members (Staff & Volunteers) as well as the convention membership are welcome to attend these meetings. 

If you would like to present new business to the Board for consideration, make sure to send the request and related information to [email protected] no later than: 

• October 24 for the November Meeting 
• November 27 for the December Meeting 

2023 Board of Directors meetings will be announced at a later date.
