We have secured several suites at the Bertram Inn to have parties, and it is possible for YOU to get one to have your party in.

If you and your fan group, or you and your friends, want to throw a rager at Cleveland ConCoction, we still have a few suites left. If you bring in several paid memberships and a couple of hotel nights, or a combination thereof...Or if you bring in a way cool, totally bitchin party concept, or programming idea, we can get you a suite at NO CHARGE to you to have your event.

Cleveland ConCoction is excited to announce a returning cosplay guest and judge: Knightmage!

A 24-year Deputy Sheriff for the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio, Michael “Knightmage” Wilson has been cosplaying since 2012. Having created over 350 costumes, Michael is an award winning cosplayer with many of his creations being praised and displayed on numerous platforms in print and online. Michael is noted as one of the most influential and diverse male cosplayers in the world. Along with judging cosplay contests Michael often hosts cosplay panels and workshops at conventions showcasing the creative, positive, inspiring and supportive side of cosplay.

Cleveland ConCoction is excited to announce a returning cosplay guest and contest emcee: Mogchelle!

Mogchelle started in cosplay by just being an average geek attending an anime convention in 1999. Her love for the artwork in anime, video games, and comic books made her want to bring the 2D images from the pages and screen to real life. She’s also been featured in several national and international magazines, and several online entertainment news sources for her costuming, and has done work for The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Cleveland ConCoction 2024 COVID-19 Policy

One of the highest priorities of the ConCoction staff is the health and well being of our members, volunteers, and yes, ourselves.
Upon looking at current trends and local health official recommendations, our leadership team has made the decision to make ConCoction 2024 a mask optional event.
While it has long been the policy that pre-registrations to Cleveland ConCoction have been non-refundable, we are now looking at that through a very different lens.  We’ve all experienced con crud at some time in our lives; however, con crud looks vastly different than it did prior to COVID-19.  With that it mind, we are going to ask that if you are sick, or feel like you might be getting, please stay home.  If you are pre-registered we will either issue a refund or roll your membership over to next year.  As much as we’d love see you, we would rather give you your money back than risk an outbreak of any type of virus at ConCoction.

1Q Cleveland ConCoction Board Meeting

As of Sunday's (1/28/2024) 1Q 2024 Cleveland ConCoction Board Meeting for the June 2023- May 2024 ConCoction Cycle Year there were additional topics left to review and discuss, and the Cleveland ConCoction Board was not able to complete the agenda in the time alotted.

A second 1Q Board Meeting date is currently being voted on by the Board of Directors to be held in the month of February. The date and time of that meeting will be announced by February 1st, and the update will be posted to the ConCoction Calendar of Events page of the website as well as in the Cleveland ConCoction Discord Events section.

Once the 1Q Board Meetings have been concluded, notes from those meetings can be made available to the Cleveland ConCoction Membership.

Cleveland ConCoction is excited to announce that Melissa Scott will be joining us as our Author Guest of Honor for this years 2024 Convention!!  

Melissa Scott has published more than thirty original novels and a handful of short stories, most with queer themes and characters, as well as authorized tie-in work for Star Trek: DS9, Star Trek: Voyager, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Star Wars Rebels, and the first season of Rooster Teeth’s anime series gen:LOCK. She won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 1986, and won Lambda Literary Awards for Trouble and Her Friends, Shadow Man, Point of Dreams, (with long-time partner and collaborator, the late Lisa A. Barnett), and Death By Silver, written with Amy Griswold. She has also been shortlisted for the Otherwise (Tiptree) Award. She won Spectrum Awards for Death By Silver, Fairs’ Point, Shadow Man and for the short story “The Rocky Side of the Sky.”
