Just a couple of quick announcements...

First. You should really get a hotel room for the convention. It's only $94.00 per night (plus taxes and fees). Staying on site allows you to take part in all of the late night and early morning stuff. Plus, by getting a room, you are helping to support ConCoction and make it a better event. (Lotsa folks don't realize that the more room nights are actualized, the cheaper it is for us to rent the function space at the Bertram. We turn those savings around and invest them in the convention.) Go here to make a reservation:

Second, and going along with the abovementioned late night stuff. PARTIES. We like parties, and we know you like parties, too. We like parties so much that we have a dedicated wing at the Bertram just for that purpose; and, given the right set of circumstances, we will let you (or your organization) use one of the party suites for FREE. That's correct. I said FREE (it's in all caps, so you know I mean business about it). This weekend we'll be at two different conventions sharing the love of ConCoction. 

Next up - the most fantastic fall convention in Lombard, Illinois, and this year they are celebrating all things Dystopian - WindyCon 44! 

We'll be stealth flying in to run two small open door parties in room on Friday and Saturday night. Small snack foods and drinks will be served to those that find us in our secret hidden base where we will be celebrating all things Heroes and Schoolhouse for our 2018 Convention theme.

Exciting news here from our Hotel/Party Liaison! 

We are very pleased to announce that Dog Star Books will be having a Release Party for two of their newest offerings on Friday night at Cleveland ConCoction 2016. Many of their authors will be attendance, but you can be sure to meet Heidi Ruby Miller, whose newest book "STARRIE," (which is part of her Ambassadors Series) will be one of the featured offerings.
The other new and cool thing to find at this party is Matt Betts' science fiction poetry collection, which goes by the name of "Underwater Fistfight." I don't know what an underwater fistfight would be like, and I bet that neither do you.
