Cleveland ConCoction 2026 welcomes back Cosplay Guest: Mogchelle!!!!!

Mogchelle started in cosplay by just being an average geek attending an anime convention in 1999. Her love for the artwork in anime, video games, and comic books made her want to bring the 2D images from the pages and screen to real life. She’s also been featured in several national and international magazines, and several online entertainment news sources for her costuming, and has done work for The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Michael “Knightmage” Wilson was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and now resides in Youngstown, Ohio. Michael has been cosplaying since 2012. Having created over 400 costumes, Michael is an award winning cosplayer with many of his creations being praised and displayed on numerous platforms in print and online. Michael is noted as one of the most influential and diverse male cosplayers in the world.

Marcus V. Calvert

Marcus V. Calvert is a native of Detroit who grew up with an addiction to sci-fi that just wouldn't go away.

Author of Ty and the Blood Fairy Prince, Ty and the Bloody Road Trip, Ty and the Blood Fairy King, King Sal and the Battle for Ione. She also writes under the pen name Rose Withering and has a couple stories on Kindle Vella.

Megan Engelhardt

Megan Engelhardt is a Pennsylvania transplant, cryptid enthusiast, and stay-at-home mom to four. Her work has appeared in Asimov's, Daily Science Fiction, and Crossed Genres, among others.

Sara R. Cleveland

Geoffrey A. Landis

Geoffrey A. Landis is a science-fiction writer and a scientist. He has won the Hugo and Nebula awards for science fiction. He is the author of the novel Mars Crossing and the story collection Impact Parameter (and Other Quantum Realities), and has written over eighty published science fiction stories.

When not writing, Blackrose lives with three children, her husband and a full-time job in Corporate Communications. She’s fearful that so-called normal people will discover exactly how often she thinks about wicked fairies, nasty wizards, homicidal elevators, and the odd murder, even when she is supposed to be having coffee with a friend or paying something called "bills."

Jarod K. Anderson

Jarod K. Anderson publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. He has three best-selling collections of nature poetry, Field Guide to the Haunted Forest, Love Notes from the Hollow Tree, and Leaf Litter.

In January 2024, Marcus had a short story head into space on the Peregrine Rocket, destination the moon. Due to a technical problem, it did not reach the moon, but was in space for nine days, before it burned up in the Earths atmosphere. Now how many authors do you know can say that?

Weston Kincade writes character-driven fantasy, paranormal, and horror novels that stretch the boundaries of imagination, and often genres. His current series include the A Life of Death trilogy and the Priors.

Cindy A. Matthews

Cindy A. Matthews is a freelance writer/editor. She and her husband Adrian J. Matthews are co-creators of the BloodDark Series which is aimed at the YA/NA audience and set on a tidally-locked world filled with vampiric aliens.

David F. Balog was born, raised, and still lives in the Greater Cleveland area with his cat. He grew up in the libraries of Lakewood and Parma, and his babysitters were the creatures of the Cleveland Aquarium. Ever inquisitive, he dove deeply into science, paranormal studies, mathematics, and mythology at an early age, and never let go of the idea that they, and other studies, were all tightly connected.

Evan Dicken grew up in one of those Midwestern, rust belt towns that form the fodder for so many coming-of-age stories. He studied Psychology, History, and Biology at Ohio University, and received his M.A. in East Asian History from the Ohio State University, after which he spent more than a little time in Japan.

Lar deSouza, beard advocate, noted hat enthusiast and Internet Uncle, is really good at sitting. He sits like a champ. And when he sits, he draws. Like, a LOT. For the past 17 years, Lar has been pulling double duty as the cartoonist for the 2008 Shuster Award winning online comic “Looking For Group” (LFG.co) and the comic “Least I Could Do” (LICD.com). Lar has also been the recipient of the Prix Aurora Award for Artistic Achievement in Canadian Science Fiction (2008, 2006) and numerous other awards for caricature and cartooning.

2d6 is the fusion of two gigantic nerds that learned to rap by finding magical 6-sided dice.

They're a couple of nerds, who were once a couple of animals, who found a pair of six sided-dice after running away from a lab--listen, the backstory's a lot to take in; suffice it to say: 2d6 likes to rap about geeky pop culture. Anime, video games, comic books, roleplaying, 2d6 covers it all! And not only do they do it, they do it with more energy, verve, and panache than any other band you've ever seen.

Cleveland ConCoction 2025 is excited to announce this years Author Guest of Honor: Marie Vibbert!!!!

Author – Educator – Developer

Hugo and Nebula nominated author Marie Vibbert’s short fiction has appeared over 90 times in top magazines like Nature, Analog, and Clarkesworld, and been translated into Czech, Chinese and Vietnamese.

Her debut novel, Galactic Hellcats, was long listed by the British Science Fiction Award and her work has been called “everything science fiction should be” by the Oxford Culture Review. She also writes poetry, comics, and computer games. By day she is a computer programmer in Cleveland, Ohio.
